I couldn't wait till next year to see how things went this year with my ducks, so yesterday I went back to the feed store and ordered 2 more ducklings. Indian Runners this time. Ever since I ordered the other four I've been thinking about those runners. Everything I've read makes them sound like fun little guys to have around. I even found out my younger sister's boyfriend used to have some and recommended them.

I'd been thinking about them all the time, not quite to the point of obsession, but this was the last weekend to order and I just had to have some! I was thinking of getting 4 but I controlled myself and only ordered the two. As with the others, I have no idea if I'll get a male and female or two of the same. I'd rather have more females than males, but I won't know what I got till they're older. So, I get to pick up 6 ducks on May 16th now. I've got 50 pounds of food. Now I just need to build that duck pen.
