Gert Pieters joined the Northern Transvaal Budgerigar Society (NTBS) in 1999 as
a Beginner. He joined the Jacaranda Show Budgie Society in July 2000. He was
promoted
to Intermediate status in 2003. He was elected onto the management committee
and is the
current Show Secretary. He lives in the northern suburbs of Pretoria, South
Africa.
