MOLES
Moles use different chambers in their tunnels for sleeping, storing food and bringing up their young.
The majority of the 20 species of mole lead an underground life, but 2 species of desman and star-nosed moles are adapted for an aquatic life.
All moles have highly modified hands and forearms which act as pick axe and shovel combined.
Moles can move backwards or forwards with equal ease.
