Oscar
Oscar... is approximately 9 yrs old, has just been "tutored", has had all
his teeth pulled because of infection except for his front teeth and fangs(one incisor was so bad that the root was exposed)so it soft foods for him our Vet says, but you should see him devour dog biscuits, it just takes him a little longer that most.He has a low gruff sounding bark, very macho! He was 42 lbs when rescued from a kill/shelter but now is about 50 and still gaining....he is big boned and probably will be about 60-65 lbs.He is lemon/white in color.He is one sweet guy!!

I was stray that no one has claimed....and have been at The Anchorage since November 98.
I am housebroken, affectionate and loving...I get along with other female dogs, but not with another male.

by Jim & Helen during the weekend of February 20th; 1999.
My new 'sister' is named Millie, another Basset. Baroooo!!!

Sammie
... was rescued from a Kill Shelter in Connecticut and was transported to NC via
Y.E.S.S. Transport system. She was adopted and is now living in Oak Island, NC in her new "forever" home.
Since she is so close to me, I still get to visit with her ocassionally.
Sammie gets a 3rd chance!
Sammie was turn back to YTNR because her new owner developed serious Health problems
and husband had Alzheimers which was progressing faster than expected after only 3 months.
She was Adopted once again, to a wonderful person in Cola, S.C.
and is loved, cherished and is enjoying being the "only child".

... her elderly owner died, leaving her all alone.
She was transported to this area from Georgia
and was adpoted by a wonderful family in Virginia Beach, VA in Decenber 1999.

... was a stray, found at the side of the road in Georgia
and has been fostered for several months...she is thought
to be around 12-13 years old, in good health, but is near blind/deaf.
She has been adpoted and is in her new "forever" home in Lugoff, SC.
