Albino

Albino ferrets are like any other albino animal. They have white fur, very pink or white skin, and pink/purple eyes. There are also dark-eyed white (DEWs), which are all white but have pigmented eyes.

Blaze

Blazes are named because of a white streak of fur from their forehead down the back of the neck. They commonly have white paws, and white patches on their hind knees. A white-tipped tail is sometimes seen also. This close-up of Buster shows his white paws and streak on his head.
Panda

A ferret with a entirely white head is called a panda. I think they're also supposed to have the white mitts on their feet, but I'm really not sure. Purists say there should be no dark hairs on the head at all, but it seems like most ferret people consider a mostly white head to be a panda. Dook here is described as a "mutt" by Megan, but his head looks panda-ish.

Silver Mitt

Yukon here is a silver mitt, so named because of the obvious feet markings. Silvers tend to look that way because of white fur interspersed with a little dark fur.

Cinnamon

A cinnamon ferret is a light reddish-brown in color, usually with color points & mask like a sable. The picture here is a little dark, but you get the idea. This is Frobisher, who is available for adoption at
Ferret Aid Society.

Black or Chocolate Sable

I've heard "black" and "chocolate" used interchangeably to describe a sable with deep brown or black fur. Some people say a chocolate sable is the dark brown only, and a black sable has true black fur; others lump them together. Baby is a black sable, complete with the black nose leather (it became more pronounced as she grew up)
