Am/Cdn Ch Woodwynd's Ursa Major
Bear lives up to his name in size and in temperament, if you are thinking of a teddy bear. Bear is a very sweet, mild mannered boy. We spotted him at the 1995 DCA National Specialty in Chicago while we were on a search for a big boy to breed to our little Darby. Bear had the conformation and pedigree we were looking for and he did his best to charm our little girl. His marshmallow attitude formed the beginning of our partnership with Woodwynd Dals.
Bear came to live with us for six months when we bred him to Darby. In that time, he finished his Canadian Championship and went on to become one of the top ten dalmatians in Canada that year ,with limited specialing. Bear is retired now and living back in Florida with a family who loves him very much. Occasionally he can be seen in the junior handler's ring with his boy, who is just as proud of him as we are.
