SHEENA & DAMIAN, waiting at the bridge...

  ABOUT THIS SITE

This site is dedicated to Sheena and Damian, they were my heart and my soul. I lost them both to different  cancers.Sheena lost her battle to Osteosarcoma, after a fantastic fight. Damian, died just short of two years after Sheena crossed over, due to a brain tumor, and a broken heart. None of us were ever the same after Sheena left us. I felt that I should share my experiences with others, since these stories of hope, sadness and loss, MUST be told.

We are under construction again

The Dogs of today
Part of recovering from a loss as huge as mine, is to try to love another.  As horrified, saddened, and guilty I felt about allowing another dog in my life, something from deep inside told me I HAD to do it. As upset as I was the day Diva came home with me, I sure have no regrets now. She gave me a reason to wake up in the morning once again. I also thought that she might make Damian happier, but that was not to be.

I  hope that this site can help those  whom are afraid of the unknown, and can learn from our tragedy, and others that have been through this already. There is so much a vet does not tell you, or does not know personally him/herself. This site however, is not here to replace the advise of a professional animal health practitioner.

On a lighter note...
The reason we love and cherish our dogs so much is the memories we share together. Many of us have grown as human beings, with our dogs at our side. Our dogs represent a particular chapter in our lives, and some day, when they leave us, that chapter forever will close with them. As devastating as this to us when they leave,  you have to try to remember that it would not hurt so bad, if they did not influence our lives with their ridiculous antics.  Here are a some wonderful "short stories",  to help you remember some days that have long gone by.
