Such ads are published daily in the Times of India. Pick any issue of the paper and look for the classified ad column 'HEALTH CLUB/PHYSICAL FITNESS' and you can avail the facility offered by our great national daily.
All the numbers given are Delhi numbers. You are welcome to dial any of these numbers posing yourself to be a false customer and find out for yourself whether all these advertisers are offering just body massage or something else. (Warning - All the brothels have Caller ID's installed with their telephones. They always call back and verify your phone no. before sending the boy to your premises, so be careful.)
The strategy of simply adding the words 'massage' or 'masseur' to the ad but making it amply clear that the ad is not for massage but for something else by including several other unambiguous words will not help TOI. What do they want to convey by 'hot massage', 'complete satisfaction', 'Crackers? Bombs? Bofors guns', 'sensational massage', 'hottest way', 'only male to male', 'with choice of your own method', 'exciting', 'thrilling', 'body to body massage', 'voluptuous', 'top', 'bottom', 'active' etc.? And is body massaging so important that it may be needed 24 hours? Is it an emergency service? Should we take TOI to be so foolish?
What does all this mean? They have a connivance with the owners of these brothels and accept their ads at extra cost, probably at two, three, or four times their normal rates and permits them to advertise just anything.
Homosexuality in India is a severe crime. It is punishable by law. As per section 377 of the IPC, anal intercourse attracts punishment extending up to life imprisonment with or without fine. Publishing ads of the brothels offering boys for anal intercourse is unimaginable. We don't even advertise cigarettes in some of our media. Ads of wine in all our media are prohibited as per Indian rules. And TOI is publishing ads of brothels, that too for homosexuals. It is 100 times more criminal than advertising a normal brothel which also we can't even think of. TOI dares to do such a crime without any hesitation. And it is doing it for years! Daily! A leading newspapers of the capital city of India, and the biggest publishing house of the country, is doing severest of the severe crime, unthinkable, unimaginable, and unheard of in the history of this earth.
We wrote to TOI about this column in the first week of Dec, '99, and gave the following hint about it on our web-site:
"This page will be developed at the opportune time. It will be most shocking of all our writings on this site. It is the last arrow in our quiver and the sharpest one. We would like to preserve it till last. If The Times of India publishes Prashant's Story, we may never develop this page. We know that we would be paying an extremely heavy price, but Prashant's Story is important for us. And if they don't, needless to say that all law enforcing agencies of the country, which would definitely include Delhi Police, would be supplied with the material which we have to write on this page."
As an effect to our warning, TOI suspended this column from 8/12/99 to 14/12/99, on 15/12/99 only one ad of a real Ayurvedic Centre was published (why we are using the word 'real' here will become clear in a moment), on 16/12/99 only one ad of Reiki was published, on 17/12/99 the column did not appear, and on 18/12/99 and then from 21/12/99 onwards they started the following gimmick (on 19/12/99 and 20/12/99 the column did not appear), which tells you how bent upon being a hard-core and seasoned criminal TOI is and how sure it is of itself being above the law.
Between 8/12/99 and 18/12/99, i.e., within 10 days, all these message parlours changed their business and became health care/Ayurvedic centres offering accupressure, weight loss/weight gain, treatment for joint pain, facial etc. Just read the following advertisements and compare them:

While advising this change in the ads to its advertisers, TOI completely forgot that all the telephone nos. and the name of the brothels and contact persons etc. will perfectly match. Moreover its advertisers maintained their 24 hours service forgetting that even a hospital does not remain open 24 hours except for its emergency ward. Further, their home/hotel service also continued, though the name was changed to door-step/outdoor service, irrespective of the fact that the heath services offered by them would need some equipment and that equipment cannot be carried to the customer's premises. And so that the customers of these brothels do not get confused, TOI occasionally kept publishing the ads in old style also to assure its readers that this column is still meant for homosexuals brothels only. Does TOI care about Indian laws? Does it have any respect for Indian Panel Code? No, it ridicules them. TOI considers itself above the law and thinks that it can do anything and nobody can touch it.
If you think that the suspension of this column by TOI was not due to our warning, but due to some of their own problems and they are not indulging in any illegal activity, then consider this: We had written to them about following three more columns also on the same date, i.e., in the first week of Dec, '99 and publicized them on our web-site:
