A group of rather shady hooligans sets out to rob a bank in Mexico. Luther (Whitaker), on his way down to meet the others, has a bit of auto trouble and steps into the infamous Titty Twister Bar for some assistance...Blood-sucking and cursing commences.

The Good: Robert Patrick stars in this movie, though with less liquid metal abilities. If that doesn't do it for you, there's also some Bruce Campbell. Yes...Bruce Campbell, who's appearance almost ensures that From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money will be nice and bloody, which it is. There's a pretty violent shower scene, A head gets impaled on a telephone pole foothold during the "climactic" massacre, and the vampires bubble and melt in a way I haven't seen since Evil Dead. Oh, and an old guy gets beaten with a "Handicapped" sign.

The Bad: No Quentin Tarantino or Robert Rodriguez (who respectively wrote and directed the first one). Aside from schilling out what little money this movie had, they're completely absent from this production, and it shows. From Dusk Till Dawn 2 goes the way of most sequels; the writing and direction never break out of bad horror movie sludge. The cross and no-reflection bit is done to death, as are the POV shots. There's an inside-the-mouth shot, an inside-the-melting-skull shot, and completely pointless POV's in just about every scene. As far as plot holes, I'll overlook the fifteen-minute solar eclipse, but why is guy after guy slaughtered by these vampires and only one comes back? The saddest thing about From Dusk Till Dawn 2, though, is the appearance of the Titty Twister Bar. It's obviously (and understandably) not shot in the same bar as the first movie, but what was an awesome set in 1 is just a disappointing and inferior copy in 2.

From Dusk Till Dawn 2 does try to live up to the original, but fails in most areas. It takes a lot to outdo Tarantino and Rodriguez working together. This movie does, however, offer some cheap fun, if you don't mind some horror flick sludge.
