An asteroid hits Earth and brings about a second Ice Age. In the year 2020, the few survivors have been divided into the underground-dwellers and the Elite, who live the life of luxury above ground. Gale, head mistress of the Elite, is a former underground girl who is very good at what she does: giving pleasure and kicking ass. As a strengthening rebellion rises up and injustices committed by the Elite come to light, Julie must find a way to liberate her people.

For a movie entitled Battle Queen 2020, one would think there would be a little more action than the five kicks and two gunshots administered in this film. Believe it or not, most of this 89 min. movie is dedicated to actual plot development, though Star Wars established just as much entirely within it's opening scroll. Somewhere within the 89 min. we find out that the Elite are stealing underground-dweller children for a cruel procedure, which finally incites Julie and about four rebels to take action. This film is supposedly a minor step away from Julie's blow-the-crap-out-of-everythingness, hence the "more elevated" nature of the plot, but that's the kind of Julie we expect to see when renting Battle Queen 2020. In fact, said title should be given to the Elite Manson's mistress, who does her fair share of ass-kicking.

With all that said, this movie's pretty good if you just want to sit back and watch Julie Strain wash herself and "please" people, but don't have the guts to rent a porno. Barbed Wire on depressants, Battle Queen 2020 isn't bad; it's just fairly boring. Julie Strain can do no wrong, though, so fans of her work might want to drink some caffeine and pop this in.
