Savor those final moments at graduation. Hug all of your friends and say goodbye to all of your teachers. Take one last look down the halls, at the football field, and in the gym where you cheered for your classmates and against other schools. As you drive away (remember this because it is very important) do not look back. |
You must forget everything that school has taught you about learning. Forget about sitting in class all day talking with their friends while the teacher is trying to lecture. Forget about spending hours on the telephone before you start your homework. Forget about watching television while you do your homework. Forget about coming up with excuses for not having that homework done. And forget about the cliques of jocks, cheerleaders, geeks, and gangs that make high school either a glorious experience or one that sucks. |
