Suffering from severe depression after being dumped by his wife, a physical-education instructor is intrigued by the new woman in the neighborhood. The lone mysterious lady shacks up in a seedy apartment next to the abandoned hubby's place. She turns out to be the paramour of a corrupt cop with links to the criminal underworld.
