It is the year 2011, the government is ruled by a military junta. The Philippines has been under a state of martial law for a number of years. The economy is dead and the country's future is uncertain. The situation had seen the birth of an underground rebellion that hopes to regain power over the government and restore freedom.
This is the story of Hesus Mariano, a young and idealistic revolutionary who is acknowledged as one of the best in what he does. Forming the core of rebel leader Miguel Reynante's best cell. Hesus and his companions are the masters in pushing for a radical change in society, whether through education, economics or violence.
But recent military operations have drastically reduced the ranks of the revolutionaries. The military's success could only be explained by the existence of spies within the rebellion...and Reynante has pinpointed that one of them is a cellmate of Hesus. Due to the lack of time in identifying the turncoat, the command is given for Hesus to kill the entire group. It is an order he reluctantly obeys. He is wounded in the encounter and loses consciousness while trying to escape. He then wakes up in the hands of Col. Simon, the dreaded counter-insurgency expert of the military.
Col. Simon tries to strike a deal with the Hesus explaining that Hesus is now being hunted by both the military and his fellow revolutionaries and that his only hope lies in Col. Simon's deal. Simon stages Hesus' escape with the intention of using him as a tool in bringing down the rebellion.
Hesus is now on the run hiding within the shadows of the dark and desolate streets of Manila. With no one to trust and nowhere to go, decides to take control of the game both sides are playing.
