Working Girls I In this dog-eat-dog world, working women have a lot to deal with. Aside from the usual office work, there is office politics, the macho philosophy, the issue of women's lib and the melodramatic husband and wife tug-of-war stories, to name just a few. A film that has been built around the myth that to be employed in the posh, carpeted offices of Makati is the height of every woman's working life. Working Girls I is made up of long string of vignettes of various working women trying to survive the rat race, either as mere finishers or successful winners. Bernal's refreshing wit and engaging style threads together a seemingly criss-crossed and confusing story of seven, smart, ambitious and funny working girls.
