All About Us

The Prince Albert Horticultural Society held its first meeting on March 27, 1930 in the Old City Hall Building (today'sArts Centre) to organize a Horticultural Show in August of that year. While activities of the Society originally centered around what became an annual Horticultural Show, in 1937-38 the Society was fundamental in establishing a permanent City Parks Board.

The Current Executive and Members of the Prince Albert Horticultural Society would like to invite all those who share our love of gardening to join us...

There is an unlimited source of information within the Horticultural Society which comes from many people who generously share their experience, knowledge, wisdom, and insight into their private gardens. We encourage all gardeners from junior to senior, to join our Society and transform your living space into a showplace for your own gardening talents. Enter your best fruit, vegetables and/or flowers, or express your creativity by entering the Floral Arrangement categories at the annual Horticultural Show in August. Whether a novice, casual gardener, or experienced exhibitor, get involved and help promote the idea of beautifying our City and surrounding areas. Enthusiasm and a desire to make things grow are the only pre-requisites for membership in the Society.

If you are interested in learning more about our Society and what it has to offer, bring a friend and come to our meetings at the Carlton Park Hall, 3100 Dunn Drive, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan at 7:30 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month except January, July, August and December.
