Easel
Tutorial
I wrote this tutorial
for PSP6, but it can be used in
other versions.
You can use your favorite wood texture
to floodfill, or as
I did, your favorite Blade Pro Preset
mypine
preset.
I also used a Blade
Pro Preset on the bolts
leading
preset.
I don't remember
where I got these
presets, so if they are yours let me know,
and I will give you
credit for them. This is an original Tutorial,
written by me.
Any resemblance to any other tutorial like this is
coinsidental, as I
have not seen them.
Let's begin by opening
a New Image 400X400, transparent, 16mil colors.
Add a new layer....
you can name these layers if it makes it easier for you.
I seldom name mine.
You can always see what is on the layer by holding your
curser over the layer
on the layer pallate.
Click on the Preset
Shapes Tool. On the Tool Palatte select:
Rounded Rectangle
Style: FILLED
Antialias checked
Foreground color set
for white
Draw a slender line
downward for the first leg of our easel.
Click on your selection
tool and with rectangle selected from the tools
palatte, draw a rectangle
around your first leg.
Click in the center
of your leg and the leg will be selected.
Now you will flood
fill with your favorite wood texture, or use your
favorite Blade Pro
Preset. I used the MyPine preset.
Now go to Edit....COPY.....PASTE
AS A NEW LAYER. Deselect.
On the Layer Palatte, click on layer two....Go to IMAGE.....ROTATE
Rotate Right....20
Repeat this proceedure
with the other leg..by clicking on layer
Three on the layer
palatte. Only rotating to the LEFT by 20
this time.
Add a layer.
Select your Preset Shapes Tool. Same Settings
as before. Make
this leg a little shorter than the other two legs.
Select this last leg
and either flood fill or blade pro like you did the
other two legs.
Click on your MOVER Tool and line the legs up so that they
all touch at the top.
On your layer Palatte, move layer four below layer two.
This will put the
shorter leg behind the other two where it needs to be.
Click on Layer FOUR
( the back leg). Click on the selection tool and draw
a rectangle around
this leg and click in the middle to make it the selection. Now
add an inner bevel
to this leg.
Go to IMAGE... Effects...Inner
Bevel.
REPEAT This proceedure
for each of the other two legs. Remember to click
on the proper layer
for each leg you want to select. When you are finished it
will look similar
to this.
Now you have to decide
if you want a floor easel, or a table easel.
A table easel is one
that sits on the table and has shorter legs than
the floor easel.
I will make this one a FLOOR Easel with longer legs.
