Arm and upper body workouts
There are different ways to improve your arm and upper body strength. The best ways I have found to improve this strength is:
Various pulls ups, at different widths 'hands apart' and by alternating between pull up with my chin in front of the bar, and faceing the opposite way, with my head faceing the bar. All of these should be done with your palms facing away from you. The second variation may seem confusing to you. This is just a duck under the bar and a pull up, this is great for your back.
A second exercise is the use of large holds on a dyno wall, where your spring far up to large holds, with or without the use of your feet. Dynos are fun, but give yourself some cusions so you dont screw up your knees.
Another variation on pull ups is at awkward height. To do this, i put a hockey sock, or a towel over one side of the bar, and hold it at the bottom to stress each arm more indiviually, of course you should rotate between arms to remain balanced.
