Lindsay Davenport is part of a Volleyball family as they all play. Lucky for Lindsay she was able to play the sport she is so great with.
Davenport is friends with many players including Monica Seles and Natasha Zvereva. She used to be great friends with Mary Joe Fernandez and they were a successful doubles combination. They used to watch each other play their singles matches. At the end of 1996 their friendship split as Lindsay dumped Mary Joe for another partner. She had heard rumours that Mary Joe was playing a limited schedule as they pulled out of the Wimbledon and US Open doubles tournaments.
