Marcello RIOS

Marcello has an apparent attitude problem. The media can not stand the fact that he doesn't treat them with respect. He has received the lemon award at the French Open, 2 years running for not cooperating with the press. He does not like fellow peers or opponents, for good reasons, some player's personalities are moronic.

Marcello held the No 1 ranking for a brief time this year. When Marcello, trails in a match he often gives up, so that he does not try. In the past year, he has tried more from being behind. He played Chang at the Australian Open and the US Open, and in both of the matches he trailed 2 sets to love. In Australia, he gave up losing in straight sets. In the US, he fought back to take the match in 5 sets.

Marcello has great groundstrokes, with consistent forehands and backhands. He is a gifted tactician in which he can move the ball all around the court. His early timing of his shots makes him able to create power from both his groundies. He can also hit winners equally as well, down the line and crosscourt. Rios has a great return in the game and repeatedly smacks winners off terrific serves. Players such as Chang and Agassi can hit the ball as cleanly but Rios is tactically better.
