Petr Korda produces powerful flat groundstrokes. He is flashy player and can beat any player on his day. His volleys are great as he has won many doubles slams. His serve is a strong part of his game. His improvement to his game is his consistency of every time he plays.

Korda played his best tennis to win the Australian Open, coming from 2 sets down to beat Bjorkman and caned Rios 6-2 6-2 6-2. He fell to Henman at Lipton and Wimbledon (in the quarter finals). The first cost him a chance at the number 1 ranking, the latter he struggled with an ankle injury. He fell in the first round at the French and US Opens.

1997

Korda beat Sampras at the US Open, to reach the Quarter finals. He had to pull out against Bjorkman due to a head cold.
