I, an STM student, would like to inform you that your biased views toward Saint Thomas More are extremely judgmental and wrong.
You are a terrible writer, poking your nose into this whole parking issue simply to sell copies of your so-called (editor's note: It is a FREE paper) newspaper. And I'm so sorry to tell you that no one at our school drives "bling bling" lexuses. And people have the freedom to challenge any laws they think are wrong (we have the right to, or did you not learn that in school?).
And at school, I don't see anyone sucking their thumbs as you stated in your article. Hmm, so if that's not true, it means you made it up, which shows that you are a liar(I'm not suprised). Your article also says that we shouldn't let our daddies do everything for us; most of the kids at my school are minors, genius; we can't do it ourselves (and once again, GO BACK TO SCHOOL).
I also enjoyed the part where it said that if we're allowed to get away with parking issues, you could run over someone and drive away, steal, and so on. Sorry buddy, but I think parking issues are a little different when juxtaposed with homicide issues. My intent here is not against your view on the handicap issue, it's how you approached it. To me, you sound jealous. Most journalists can get a good story across without being judgmental and rude. Did we ever make fun of you? No. The answer to this query is simple; you are jealous and have nothing else to do with your time.
Another thing, do you know our Dean of Students, Rich Lane? Because you obviously know much about him considering the pun on words you suggested to his first name. I am also terribly offended to be called a "rich little brat". At my school, just like any other, there are good people. The bad kids are few and far between. But now I see that these mean kids get their own newspaper column. And no one uses Cougar Stadium in the middle of the day; do your homework beforehand, sir (once again, something that is encouraged and taught in school).
You also say that these legislators should use their powers for good. The same thing can be said about journalists. They can use their columns for good instead of insulting teenagers because of some grudge you may be holding. And you, Mr. Pittman, making fun of teenagers? that just shows that you are nowhere near the classification of an adult. I am appalled by you.
