Our Day Out at Camelot
Thankfully the gods were with us and the weather stayed fine throughout. About 120 people attended, many travelling from as far as Preston and Winsford. The trip was not as well attended as could have been but then people were away on holidays and so forth.

of energy left [much to the dismay of the parents who were all planning
an early night] so we tried once more to make them {Our thanks to Sainsburys in Walton and Ali's Store in Fazakerley for providing some of the drinks and sweets for the children}. A great day out was had by all. Tracy Brannan

Thanks
to donations from Radio City's Give A Child A Chance Appeal, Radio
Merseyside and the Co-operative Bank, the children enjoyed their trip
to Camelot on Sunday 2nd of September.
The
children were provided with drinks, crisps, chocolate and £1
for ice cream, just to make sure that if the rides didn't make them
sick, then we would. They all certainly seemed to enjoy themselves,
but then so did the parents, many of whom had to put on brave faces
(and stomachs) and appease the children by risking their lives on
terrifying rides.

lamely followed, trying to think of any excuse, like 'I'll mind the
bags', or 'I need the toilet', just so as not to have to go on. One
parent made the ride operator unbolt a child from their seat because
she wanted to sit in the middle 'as it was safer' and would not budge
until the child had moved.

celebrity star spot was carried out as well as Wayne from Coronation
Street was at the theme park.
