Follett Review

This was a review set up by the Department of Education and Skills to investigate the management systems relating to medical personnel who have joint contracts working for both hospital & University.

Although the review covered the whole of the country it was instigated by the events in Liverpool and the Redfern Report.

The report by Sir Brian Follett & Michael Paulson-Ellis has now been published and PITY II has received a copy. Ministers of the Department of Health and from the Department of Education and Skills have accepted the recommendations and have said that they will now press forward with the implementation of the recommendations contained therein.

If any member would like a copy of the report please contact the office; if you have access to the Internet it is available online at www.dfes.gov.uk/follettreview.
