Review into the Coroners Systems

An update on the visit to PITY II by Tom Luce and Mike Gallagher on 17th Oct.2001 (see entries for September and October 2001 for further details).

The chairman of the Review Team Mr. Tom Luce has confirmed that PITY II will be invited to participate in the planned reference group and that they will take full account of our points and suggestions.

They are extremely busy at the moment travelling to all the English regions, Wales & Northen Ireland. Liverpool was their first visit and they will definitely be coming back almost certainly more than once more.

 

PITY II (Parents who have Interred Their Young Twice) is the parents' support group set up in the wake of the organ retention scandal
at Alder Hey Hospital (Liverpool, UK). It aims to provide self help support and advice to affected families.
