Liverpool University - 12 months on

30th January 2002 - twelve months after the release of the Redfern Inquiry Report.

Questions were asked in the local media as to why Liverpool University have still not responded formally to allegations made in the Redfern Report in relation to their part in the organ retention scandal?

The University launched its own internal investigation and apparently it is still ongoing.

 

PITY II (Parents who have Interred Their Young Twice) is the parents' support group set up in the wake of the organ retention scandal
at Alder Hey Hospital (Liverpool, UK). It aims to provide self help support and advice to affected families.
