Another
Year
We all wonder
as the year ends
The New one begins where are old friends?
We know we can find them, we know who they are
They may not know our angels star.
Do they understand
the grief as it goes?
The years as they enter the years as they close?
The pain sometimes eases and suddenly we seem as if we are living
as still in a dream
We argue we fight,
people just do not understand
What it is like when your child is not living in this land:
You talk to fresh air, you listen, you pray
The ache and the grief are never far away.
But one thing we've forgotten in all of this pain
Is not only will we see are loved ones again,
But for them time stands still it is no longer years
To them we seem to have left them with just a few tears.
We are left on
this earth with a duty a time to rebirth
Not only for children but for ourselves and each other,
Our love for our children, our sister, our brother:
Let us love ourselves for most of the time and you'll see
You will be ready when it is your time to see the Lord and the big
C.
For Christ as everyone sees him so different so calm
He will be ready to welcome you whatever religion into his arms.
People the world
over have lost parents and friends
Children, and all of us knowing that life never ends.
Whatever your faith your colour your creed, let us not forget that
all of us bleed
Let us as the year draws to a close
Go and help others who do not know how to help those
Who have to go through the grief
We can look at them and smile and say
Just believe and you will see them one day.
