Update on St Helens Memorial Garden

Children laying flowers at the GardenMany thanks for all your telephone calls and donations for the St Helens Memorial garden.

I would like to thank all the families who sent in donations and our thanks also go to Wendy Natale for donating her sponsorship money for the marathon that she ran. Together you have raised £206 for plants and shrubs. PITY II has given a cheque for £400 for the memorial bench.

The garden will be planted up in September and we have had many ideas put forward for plants and shrubs and we are going to try and incorporate those ideas as much as we can.

Many people visit the memorial garden and there are always flowers and toys there. It has been quite humbling to see total strangers visiting the memorial garden leaving their own floral tributes to our children.

It is a brilliant achievement and I would once again like to say a BIG THANK YOU to everybody concerned.

Sheila Rigby
