Dedicated
to all Children Involved in the Organ Retention Scandal and Their
Parents
You
give your love time and time again
when your child goes to heaven it is worse than ANY birth pain.
You can all say "I'm sorry," "I do not believe"
I've even had "Surely you've had time to grieve"
Have you
really walked a mile in my shoes?
Do you know what it's like to love and to lose
then have the wound opened so slow,
decisions, the anguish, another funeral or two
and so it goes on in the night;
Soon daylight appears but that does nothing to still all our fears.
Why did it
happen? Why did they hide the fact
organs were taken and we were denied
any knowledge of this, no permission was given,
we were not able to ask WHY?
So
come on officials, look us parents straight in the eye
Apologise, admit your mistake
You see those organs were NOT YOURS TO TAKE!!
This ode
was written in loving memory of
