Funerals for the Unidentifiable Babies in Liverpool


At 11am on Thursday 2nd December 2004 the last burial of unidentifiable babies for this year will take place at Allerton Cemetery.

Almost 1000 babies will have been buried by that time. The burials will recommence in the New Year. Further information can be obtained from the PITY II office.

 

PITY II (Parents who have Interred Their Young Twice) is the parents' support group set up in the wake of the organ retention scandal
at Alder Hey Hospital (Liverpool, UK). It aims to provide self help support and advice to affected families.
