After The Report - What Then? There will be a need for everyone to take time to come to terms with what is in the report. Ian Cohen and the group's legal team will go through the report in detail. If you are registered with another solicitor they will give you some advice on it. In February we will be arranging a meeting of everyone in PITY II, with the legal team, to discuss what future action is necessary. At the moment it looks likely that the meeting will be the afternoon of 18th or 25th February - both Sundays. We have invited Alan Milburn to the meeting, and will also invite Michael Redfern, the Chairman of the Inquiry. We will fix the date as soon as we know if Mr Milburn will be able to attend, and will let you know. Once everyone has got the report there may be an increased need for counselling and support. The Child Bereavement Trust will be providing counsellors on the day of the report's release, and have set up a telephone line that those affected can ring - 0845 6014235. The line will be available from 23rd January until two weeks after the Report is published. In early April we will arrange an Annual General Meeting for PITY II. Several of the committee, including Ed the acting Chair and Wendy the Secretary have indicated that they will be stepping down. We hope that there will be plenty of volunteers to serve on the committee and take the group forwards.
