| Quiet, shy loving and gentle is probably the best way to sum up the breed. They do not like noisy households as they are thoughtful and pensive - if they liked music they would prefer Mozart to Wagner. They become very attached to their owners, and are quite content to be confined indoors as long as they have the company of their preferred human The breed is thought to have originated in Archangel'sk in Russia and is sometimes known as the Archangel cat. The coat color and texture is quite different to that of other blue cats, the fur is a short plush with a double coat, which develops silver 'tips', especially in winter.
