The rules below are written in order to reflect "real" PK fighting as closely as possible.

*** THE PRE-ORGANISED FIGHTING RULES ***

1.1.1 Nothing other than equipment that can be carried by the fighters into the Arena may be used. (no troll mercenaries for example/wizard clouds) An exception to this is witches and their bats.
1.1.2 Pets may not be brought into the Arena, you can ask your pets to remain outside the Arena by using the "stay" command.
1.1.3 Fighters may take 1 bottle of healing tea, 1 bottle of blue water and 1 bottle of elixir into the Arena. Bottles and canteens only, not tankards, gourds or barrels etc.
1.1.4 Up to 10 strips of bandage may be taken into the Arena. You can also kill NPCs and steal clothing from opponents to make yourself more bandages during the fight.
1.1.5 Fighters may take 5 assorted magic wands or staves into the Arena, with a maximum or 1 red staff.
1.1.6 Fighters may take up 1 blue crystal ring (which will lose you the match), and up to 2 pink crystal rings into the Arena.
1.1.7 Fighters may take 3 phials (not bottles, etc) of assorted poisons into the Arena. You can empty these phials into rings.

1.2.1 Fighters may not enter the arena under any defensive spell. To this end, every fighter must remove all magical shields before the fight, then recast them prefight. Exceptions to this are wizards with EFF and witches with Household Guard.
1.2.2 Priests may enter with major or minor shields, although all other types of shielding must be cast prefight.
Priests and followers with rituals on faith rods, which are considered 'shields', must be performed in the arena. You may have three prefight casts in total relating to rod or ritual based faith shields, and do this in front of your opponent. Then you may have upto 60 seconds to regenerate gps. There are no limits to the number of rods you may carry. Example: A priest enters with his major, then can cast 3 more layers of assorted shielding. A follower can't enter with any shielding, and can then cast 3 assorted shields.
1.2.3 Corpses for Grisald's Reanimated Guardian and Unquiet Spirit spells/rituals may be obtained outside the arena and brought in via dragging or portal. Or, the wizard/priest may use these spells/rituals outside of the arena and simply walk to the arena. You may replace the weapons on the corpse, but no other equipment may be added or taken away. Rule 1.2.1 applies to these.
1.2.4 Scrolls may be used by anyone.
1.2.5 You can't enter the arena under any stat effects other than worn or held items.
Example: You can't get a blessing from the OC shrine, then use it to shield up prefight or use during the fight.
1.2.6 Banned rituals: Agrophobia, Divine Hand and Endless Halls.
1.2.7 Banned spells: None
1.2.8 Wards and Rods with banned rituals on them are also banned.
CSW can be used, but is banned as a Ward.

1.3.1 The fighters may begin in the same room, or a room at either end of the Arena, we leave the choice to you. If you can't agree between yourselves. Then toss a coin.
1.3.2 The fighting may take place within any Arena of your choice, as long as both fighters communicate what the Arena is to each other and any limitations it might have. Suggested Arena's are OC/Lancre market. Lancre has the advantage of being "out of the way". OC has a close by Post Office and resurrection shrine.
1.3.3 You must NOT receive any outside assistance in any form during the fight.
1.3.4 Should you leave the arena accidentally you must re enter immediately or you forfeit the match. If this happens, you need to E-mail a log to Llylia/Chimara/Cold to determine if leaving the arena affected the fight result. If someone performs an action which stops the fight for a prolonged time, they will lose the match.
1.3.5
Should you be forced to leave the arena through an action of your opponent (pizza for example) you must re-enter the arena as soon as permitted by the effect or forfeit.

1.3.6 There is a time limit of 20 minutes on each fight. If this time limit is reached, make a log (log all fights please) of the fight, then E-mail the log to Llylia/Chimara/Cold, who will then decide who wins based on aggression, tactics and overall competence.

1.4.1 Any stolen/fumbled/filched/(stuff that isn't yours) items must be returned after the fight to the rightful owner. No looting of fighters may occur. If someone does steal something from you, they can use it. Take expensive consumables in at your own risk.
1.4.2 The two fighters mudmail Llylia, Chimara and Cold. Anyone caught saying they won (if they lost) will be punished. Anyone caught saying they lost (if they won) will be slapped with the Holy Herring.

1.5.1 If a wizard accidentally fries someone not in the fight and receives more than 500hps of damage from the person, then the fight is void.
1.5.2 No paying contracts of opponents before or after a fight is allowed.
1.5.3 Anyone caught using methods to cause loss of a life will be contracted and banned.
1.5.4 If a reboot begins, the fight is void and must be stopped.
1.5.5 Your link is your own responsibility. If you have a 2 hour cutoff (or annoying brothers/sisters - Hurukan!!) then make sure you reconnect before the fight (or kick them off the other computer).

1.6.1 Other than these minor rules, the fighting is a free for all, use whatever nasty tactics you can lay your grubby hands on. Poison is legal, staves are legal, screaming nasty insults is legal (although not too seriously) and beating them over the head with a certain overpowered blunt weapon is legal, or whatever the current overpowered weapon is these days.

*** THE LEAGUE STRUCTURE ***

3.1.1 The league is divided into 4 divisions, each containing players with similar skills and abilities.
3.1.2 Once in the PKL, you agree to be placed on the website in any way and cannot ask to be removed, though personal things like Hit Points etc will be removed on request.
3.1.3 If a player hasn't reached 40% fights within 3 weeks, the PKL reserve the right to remove said player (and fight results) and replace them with an active entrant.

3.2.1 The entrance fee is 4 royals for D1, 3 royals for D2, 2 royals for D3, and 1 royal for D4. This will go towards prizes and contracts.
3.2.2 If you fail to pay the entrance fee within 30 days of the start of the season, you will be subject to a Non Payment (NP) fine of 1 royal.
3.2.3 If you don't complete any fights within the first four weeks, you will be subject to a warning contract (WC), if you fail to complete any fights during the season, you will be subject to a full contract (FC). If you fail to complete 40% of fights, you forfeit all remaining fights at the end of the season.
3.2.4 Uncollected prize monies now go into El Banco del Fridgio. This ensures your winnings reside in my account under my banking system until you decide to collect them.
3.2.5 You will not be paid any winnings if you did not complete at least 40% of the fights (you can appeal this if the other players are idle).

3.3.1 Anyone caught insulting or harassing any Admin staff will be punished, anyone banned for any reason will not be refunded.
3.3.2 If someone is caught breaking the rules, they may well find the match result switching to their opponents favour, and possibly further punishment.
3.3.3 If you're caught intentionally abusing smart arse loopholes in the rules, you will be subject to some form of punishment, depending on my mood and how smart you think you were.
3.3.4 If you decide mid fight to ignore someone breaking a rule, then lose and try to use that against your opponent for a rematch, you won't get it. Declare rule breakages as you see them. This includes looking back over logs post match.
3.3.5 Do remember the fighting should be kept within the Arena. The old CTF system had a nasty habit of running over into normal game time with nasty grudges/fighting happening. Anyone with such problems arising from the league should contact Llylia/Chimara/Cold explaining what's happening.

3.4.1 If a position ends in a draw, the player who got to that rating first will be considered the better of the two (or three etc) fighters and awarded the higher position.
3.4.2 If equal ratings were attained at the same time, then the player with the higher number of wins first, is awarded the higher position.
3.4.3 If someone declines to fight a total of 3 separate times on 3 separate days. You can mudmail Llylia/Chimara/Cold, who will decide if a fight must happen when the chance comes up, or if the challenger wins.
