For our vacation in July 1993, we made the rounds in Alabama and Tennessee. First,we went to see my cousins in North Alabama and spent a few days. While there we went took the kids to the Huntsville Space Center - it was quite educational.
Then, we went to Opryland (when it was an amusement park)in Nashville, TN. We spent almost a week in Nashville. We bought a map to the Country Music stars homes and road around trying to find them. We went to George Jones, Reba McIntyre and Johnny Cash's homes just to name a few. Unfortunately, they weren't home and noone invited us in - I was very disappointed.
Then, we went to Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga, TN. We saw Rock City and Ruby Falls - it was very pretty. Then, on the way home we stopped at Whitewater in Atlanta to get WET.
Josh was a year old and James was five. Marie was still with us then. This was one of my favorite vacations.
