My father, Alan, was born on August 21st and has always lived in Florida. He works for a bank.

Dad's a big collector of things. He's gone through collecting comicbooks, books, cacti, pez, fish, Humbles Collections, and consistantly videos! Right now he's in his Humbles Collections stage and is thinking about fish again (because my sister's recently set up the tank).

Dad's big hobby is walking, hiking, and high pointing. He's constantly on his treadmill and walking in the neighborhood. He's been to about half of the state highpoints, including Mount Hood in Oregon and Mount Katahdin in Maine (the two I'm most proud of him doing). King's Peak in Utah is the one he told me was his favorite hike. It was rainy and muddy and he got stuck for like ten minutes on the way up so went back down instead of going further for safety's sake (yes, the man was alone).

Dad loves vidoes, too. From what I can tell: Mel Brooks is his favorite director; Clint Eastwood is his favorite actor; comedy and westerns are his favorite types; The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (or, as I have dubbed it, the most long, drawn out movie in history) is his favorite movie to bug us with.

Dad used to have a mustashe, up until the year 2000 or so. Then he shaved it off and miraculasly looked ten years younger, so he doesn't have that anymore. I wonder when he'll shave the sides of his hair off along with it. (I love you, Daddy!)
