YAY! Happiness has arrived in my little heart. If you go to this page on Dynamic Drive, it has a No-Right-Click formula for JUST images. I'll very likely be putting this on all my pages. I still hate it, but not with such a passion as the "global" NRC formula--and I do want to protect the graphic artists I use. The only problem I see with this is that it doesn't protect backgrounds.
Also this page give a script for opening windows on all outside site links. You get to pick which domain name you want excluded and you can make it so the navigator gets to choose whether or not she wants that script. That's AWESOME. If you can get it to work. I can't. I still have to manuelly do it for each link.
Ok, and question...WHAT IS THIS SCRIPT that prevents me from click the control button on my keyboard?? Hello! You're already preventing my from navigating the site well, I use my control key to open to new windows so I can STAY ON YOUR SITE and click another link. Or so that I can keep track of what pages I've visited and what I haven't. If you're going to put up a NRC script, then either state that yes, these windows WILL open to new browers or let me convenantly open my OWN window to go to the sites. AIii!!

Warning: Very shallow rant ahead. For graphic artists: This is NOT a statement that I won't put up any required script, its just a squeal of frusturation from one of your page viewers. I plan on making some sort of campaign for poor navigators someday. When I have time. Which means sometime in the next hundred years!! But it also means, as my page title suggest, I'm going to need help creating buttons for that. =Þ I'm kind of afraid of what the graphic artist response will be to THAT, lol!

Ok, there, I'm being a baby about it. Now I'm going to talk rational. I can not stand the no right click script. It makes me CRAZY. I ALWAYS right click pages. And no, I'm not stealing images. I don't WANT to steal images. I want to get into other pages.
If a page has the no-right-click java script AND the script that opens up a new page, then I'm still only almost happy. If your site is EASY to navigate and not graphic intense and small, then I don't WANT every page to open up into another page. On the other hand, the people that only have the new page script for out of sites annoy me too, because a lot of times their sites are big and not easy to navigate (how am I supposed to remember all the names?) and graphic intense. I DON'T WANT A HUNDRED GRAPHIC INTENSE PAGES OPEN FOR ONE SITE! Another pet peeve is when you have an "Enter Here" page with NOTHING else on it and it opens to a new window. Grrr... That's retarded.
So I'm completely against no right script. It annoys me. Not only because of the above reasons but because I'M NOT A THIEF and I don't appreciate my self confidence being shot down the tubes everytime a message comes up saying "Watch your Mouse" or some much more intense accusatory stuff. I really respect you that have the right click and no message. That makes me feel better and I'm much less likely to get so frustrated.
It is SO EASY to get around the right script protection anyway. If you're determined enough, you're going to figure out what that way is and then do it.
