Website Design Aims:

The design of this website attempted to create an intertextual network  to highlight the links between the two texts of Catch 22 and Accidental Death Of An Anarchist. The clear concise format of this site promotes a user friendly interface, with a navigation bar on the left that is available on all pages and which allows non-linear browsing of this site. "Next" and "Back" buttons  can also be used for those wishing to follow the complete intertextual journey. 

A particular note of mention in the design of this site can be located within the three intertextual link areas- the role of humour, the use of characters and the underlying themes. These pages can be navigated using the unique "page tree", with each topic designated a specific section on the page. Simply click on the desired link, absorb the insightful content and then return to the "page tree" by clicking on the "Back to top" link at the bottom of each section. This allows a multitude of related topics to be observed from a single page, without large unattractive slabs of text or the dozens of pages required for each topic.

Key terms relating to intertextual concepts will be underlined and upon clicking on this link, an accurate meaning of the word will appear on a separate discrete glossary page for the reader to view. Once finished, the viewer can close this window and return to browsing the original content. The only minor technical problem on this site is the logo on the homepage, which may at times not function correctly due to possible compatibility issues with the web page browser. This minor hitch can be easily rectified by refreshing the homepage or by adjusting the screen resolution.
