Today will be the last day of Heritage Days for this year and I plan on spending it well.(If you are wondering, Heritage Days is a yearly festival type thing in my hometown. Theres food, a craftshow, a street dance, parades and fireworks. Yeah, now we get the fireworks.) Anyway, this year's festivities went very well and as always, I can't wait until this time next year.
It's 2:09 in the morning. At this rate I wont be out of bed until noon.

I spent the fourth yesterday at my aunt's cabin on Fish Lake, like we had planned. Unfortunatly it was a little rainy and overcast for the entire day but we managed alright. A bunch of my relatives and I went fishing off of my uncle's boat and dock. We must have caught over 20 fish but none of them were keepers. After dinner, we headed down to the lake to set off fireworks in the rain. People at all the cabin's around the lake were setting things off, trying to "out-do" each other. We had little fireworks mostly, but we had a couple of bigger ones too. And I do believe we were one of the only cabin's out there with bottle rockets.
I have a soccer game tonight. It's a home game and the weather here in town isn't looking good. I'd rather not play. In fact, I would rather not play ever again because I have come to hate playing soccer completely now. This is definitly my last season.

My birthday was two days ago. I'm officially sixteen, even though I considered myself 16 for about a week before the 1st. (I would also like to give the Kunuks a congrats for Canada Day, which they share ever so kindly with my birthday every year.)
Ever sence I was little I have always heard that a person's sixteenth birthday is one of their most important. (Probably along with one's 1st, 21st, 50th, and if your lucky, 100th birthdays) But it seems that I spent my birthday just like any other Thursday. Alayne and Kala and I went to Duluth and visited my grandma. We then went out to eat and skated around Canal Park for a while before we went shopping. I went home and played at the City Band Concert. I didn't get a whole lot of gifts, mostly gift cards, a CD and a book. All in all though, it was a good day.
So, tomorrow is the 4th of July. I do believe this is one of my favorite holidays, if not my very favorite holiday. I'm not really sure why. Probably just because it's the only holiday in the Northland with really warm weather and loud colorful explosions. Yeah, that's my kind of holiday.
Unfortunatly there wont be any fireworks in my little home town this year. I'm not completely sure why, but I hear it's official. I myself am not all so concerned about it because my family has already planned to spend the day at my aunt's cabin and set off our own fireworks that evening. I do feel extremely sorry for the rest of the people who will be staying in town, even though I have a feeling they wont be missing out completely on the tradition. It seems that within the past few days you can't go outside after sunset for more then a few minutes with out hearing pops and bangs. And not just little fireworks, but big ones too. I'm guessing these people are rebelling against the city.
Wow. I'm sure my life is just so interesting that I could write four more paragraphs, but I must stop talking. Time to get some sleep. Yeah, I'm done now.
