January 16, 2001 Rumors are all around started by an anonymous source in Coming Soon! saying that Aaron Eckhart (Erin Brockovich, Nurse Betty) is Darren Aronofsky's top choice for the role of Batman in Y1.  However, there has been no solid conformation of this rumor and many have already dismissed it, although Warner Brothers has also been rumored to be looking for an actor in his late twenties to play Batman in the upcoming Y1 movie. Last year, Warner Brothers purchased a bunch of Batman: Year One, Batman 5, and Batman Beyond website domain names.  One of the names not purchased by Warner was "www.batmanyearone.com", which was previously owned.  On December 22, Warner renewed several of their dowmain names and according to the Whois directory (the main domain index) www.BatmanYearOne.com had been purchased by Warner.  What that means at this point no one can be sure.
