Pieces of the Past

I consider it a privilege to live here in Northern Middle Tennessee. When I look around I see the beauty of these Tennessee hills and streams. Most of our ancestors were born and raised in Montgomery, Stewart,Robertson, and other nearby counties. Sometimes we go for Sunday afternoon drives down the old winding country roads and see Pieces of the Past, old home places, schools, cemteries, the land where our ancestors were born, lived, and raised their families. It is an honor to share these Pieces of the Past with you.

The Little Log Cabin

This little cabin is where my mother and father lived when they first married . It is located in the Palmyra community of Montgomery County, Tennessee.

Union School

The photo above is the old Union School. The building is now used as a community center. My father attended school here through the 8th grade. This old school  is located on Tarsus Rd off Hwy 149 In Montgomery County, Tennessee.
