| TOTAL | 60/85 | Er... well, I'm sure I came closer than most people. Best surprises: Renee Zellweger and Ethan Hawke. Special things to note: 1st time since... back in the day 3 black actors have gotten nominated - 1st time EVER 2 black actors have gotten nominated for Best Actor. Sweet. Accurate that Sidney Potier (the only black actor to win Best Actor) will be given an Honorary Oscar at this year's Academy Award show. On the "What the...?" front: Jimmy Neutron over Waking Life in the Animated Feature category and Black Hawk Down losing it's Score nomination to Harry Potter. Total frown: too many Pearl Harbor nominations. |
