There have been many theories about the origin of the universe from the attribution that a god or gods created the universe; to the Steady State theory of the universe up to today's accepted model, the Big Bang theory. While the Big Bang theory has not been proven to be the totally correct model with no questions whatsoever, it is the theory that most scientists believe is the correct one and there is evidence that this is true.
None of the questions proposed here are easy, but this site will attempt to look at some of the different theories and ideas that man has put forth over time so that he might better understand where the universe came from and his place in it.
