About Us
Welcome to About Us Page
Why, oh why did we create this website?  Do you really want to know? Of course you do! The first reason is: It is our final project in our Analytical Critical Reading Course, which can really determine our grade with their being no mid-term or final examination.  The other reason;  we are truly concerned for the well being of other who need to eat fast food but don't know how to eat it wisely.

There are two general topics for students to choose from: The Origin of McDonalds' and Nutrition of Fast Food.  I, Wanporn, have chosen the Nutrition of Fast Food, and then I narrowed the field down to be "Tips For Eating Fast Food Wisely".  My friend, Kanlaya, was sick on the day that the project was assigned, so I called her to tell her about the topic I chose, we agreed that we should work together as she could help me search the information.

Here is a note I received from my friend.
"Hi! I am Kanlaya.  I'm very lucky to have a very nice friend as Wanporn, aren't I?  I was not sure myself that I was the first person who wanted to work with her because she wanted an assistant to search some more information.  I sometimes argued with her about doing the project and I feel bored to see her face everyday.  However, I am very thankful for her kindness and sense of humor during working that do not make me serious, and I am happy that we work together".

his website was started on Monday, 8th July 2002.  It must be finished before 31st August.

We have assumed that some people might not agree with our tips for eating fast food wisely, mainly because things are usually easier said than done.  Why do others follow these tips? They do it because they want to be healthy.  We have accepted that we do not need to follow the tips ourself, as we don't eat fast food often.  If we did eat fast food often, we would in fact follow these guidelines, becasue we want to be healthy as well.  How about you? Do you want to be healthy?

At this time, we would like to thank our web space provider (www.oocities.org), as well as everyone who created the useful text and pictures.  We also want to thank everyone who helped us answer the questions, and gave their opinions about eating fast food.  Without that information, this website would not be possible.

Finally, we wish to thank our teacher, Sopin, for assigning the project, which has not only improved our English reading skills, but also our English writing skills.  We wish you a good journey to IIIinois State University!
