CONNECTICUT HOVER-IN 2000
The Town Of Windsor has successfully completed the first day of the Hovercraft Show-Off and Ian Cummings reports back the following details thus far:
Date: Saturday, August 26, 2000 5:14 PM
Hi Linda,
Everyone had a blast at the CT hoverin today. Pete and I had our SC4's there (soon three when Kevin's is here). Kevin flew ours and Colin flew his 'Captain Marvel' homebrew craft.
We jumped the Enfield Dam (flooded dam, 3 feet high or so) and did the Farmington River (low low water).
Steve from WVA was there with BOB (Big Old Boat) which is canary yellow and has a stereo etc. Still moves with all the extras tho. Modified UH design with Geo engine (you may have seen it in Troy).
Bunch of Scats and several Neoterics.
Colin handed out piles of the SC4 brochures and needs more!
Pete and I got a chance to practice seamstress skills as we seem to attract skirt tears!
We hovered up as far as Sprinfield MA on the Connecticut River.
Regards from Quasset Lake.
Ian
