WONDERFUL LETTER FROM GLEN GUNGEL & FAMILY!
Hello Linda,
We're the folks who stopped by Weber Hovercrafts on Aug. 9th, emailed you a couple of times about our interest in learning more about hovers in general, and attended the hover gathering in Muscoda this past weekend. Peter's interest, and mine, in Hovercraft was peaked by the ride we received from Carl G....... on Friday morning. (I had bandaged his wife's hand after she'd fallen, and Carl offered me a ride. I suggested that Peter was the one who really was eager to ride. Peter's face lit up. Carl saw the opportunity to light the fire of interest. Peter and I both went for a ride on Carl's home made Star Cruiser.) We received lots of tips from Carl and Don S.. Enjoyed seeing a homebuilt UH10 and inspecting it carefully for building ideas. On Friday and Saturday mornings, we saw Scats, Air Commanders, Hover Concepts craft, large home mades, ... and, lots of Star Cruisers! After seeing, the previous week, a bit of how Star Cruisers are made, riding on Carl's home made, and watching "Weber mades" perform, we were very impressed. I think there is a Star Cruiser in our future. Elegant in design. Top notch in performance.
First, however, we have to build a Hovercraft. Peter, our 10 y/o "engineer", insists on the building experience, first. We will probably build a Universal Hovercraft design. Might start out with the UH6F Trainer this Fall. Then, proceed with a UH10_ or UH12 over the Winter months.
Whichever route we take, we are hooked on hovering! We are sending in our Hovercraft Club of America application and ordering books, using the form you had at Muscoda. And, we're currently making plans to bring whatever we build to the Muscoda event next year. Thanks again. And, see you in Muscoda in 2001!

MIKE AND BRANDON JACOBSON SEND THEIR THOUGHTS ABOUT THE HOVERIN!
Hi Linda, I am writing this letter for 2 reasons:
1. To thank you for a fantastic weekend in Muscuda WI. This was without a doubt the best Hover Rally I have attended. My son is still talking about how much fun we had. I thank you for all you do in putting these rally's together. You really make it feel like a fun family reunion.
The following is unsolicited and is my honest opinion.
2. To let everyone out there thinking of purchasing a Hovercraft to think about a Weber Craft.
I became a member of the Hover Club this year however I have been investigating hovercraft for about a year and a half, trying to determine the pros and cons of each craft. I have seen dozens of different configurations/brands. Both homemade and manufactured. I have come to the conclusion that if I was to buy an already built craft...It would be a Weber. I am the kind of guy who loves to build things (and I have allot of time) so I have not purchased one, I built my own.
Of the Hover rallies I have been on I have noticed the Weber hovercraft to be:
* The most dependable;
* Run over 40 Mph (near 50) Very Quick!
* Most Passenger capacity.(For its size);
* Extremely Stable;
* Most Thrust per Horsepower;
* Quietest 2 engine craft;
* Excellent customer support;
I have noticed when you buy a Weber Craft you become part of the "Hover family". Linda spends much of her time promoting the sport of hovercrafting. She schedules events and puts together quite a rally.
At the last rally my lift fan fell off the motor and ripped apart on Saturday afternoon. I thought my weekend had ended. As soon as I got it to shore Linda stopped by and offered me the lift fan off one of the Weber crafts they had brought to the rally. (it happened to be the same size fan).
I put it on my craft and my craft ran better than it ever has. Lending me that lift fan was like giving a me the shirt off their back! I am not even a customer of theirs!
This saved my weekend fun with my son. Needless to say this just adds to my reason for writing this letter and tell people a little bit about the character of the Webers. I have talked with several owners of Weber crafts and they have all told me how impressed they are with the Webers. I concur!
If I was about to buy a new craft from a small manufacturer it would make me nervous. After getting to know the Webers I would not be nervous at all. "Honesty and Integrity", sums them up!
Thank you for all you do!

David LaCombe.....
Hi Linda,
I checked out your page a few days ago.
You always do such a wonderful job putting the hoverin pictures together.
After the MN cruise and the HCA cruise, I looked forward to checking out your pages of pics.
While I'm out "gliding" around, I never remember to take the time to take snap shots and I thank you for all of your hard work.
I actually took some pictures at the HCA cruise, but my computer has been in the shop for a month getting new guts put in so I haven't been able to add anything to my webpage.
When I get it back (hopefully in one piece) I'll add my pics and post a message on hoverlovers.
Thanks again for the info.
Now, I'm off to the MN state fair!
Dave....

A WONDERFUL NOTE FROM NICK JOKAY!
Linda,
This was probably the best ever reporting on a hovercraft event: Great photos and good captions explaining the action. If my computer could blow wind through my hair it would have been as good as attending the event. Nick...
