FRIDAY THE 13TH.....! (continued)

Well, it's inevitable that you will eventually have a repair to make on your bag skirt. The best thing for repairs on the water is a simple cable tie maneuver. Just punch holes on either side of the slit and slip a cable tie thru about every 4 inches, and you'll be up and running for the rest of the cruise.

But then when you get home......

Find yourself a beautiful old elm tree, swaying in the afternoon sunlight, and put that hover up for repairs!
Get someone to lift the craft up for you or...   Linda Lifts the Craft? I don't think so!
Put the craft on lift and pull it 1/3 off the trailer, and prepare to work wherever is needed!
We have one policy in our household....he who messes it up, repairs it up!
Preparing the patch.....   Verdon found himself 3 very good sized rips to patch this time....
  Closeup in detail....
Flatten out the area as best as possible....this could mean removing quite a few screws to get the patch to lay flat.....if you are patching on the inside.
Be sure to find all the areas to be patched to make it all worthwhile...
Flattening the area, and preparing for the staple gun.....
Whoa! Wait a minute.....a staple gun? Yepper, that's right. We like to staple the material (temporarily) either to the ramp of the trailer or a board just to ensure the material stays flat and smooth for bonding.
A couple staples here and a couple staples there....

Wipe the areas clean with gasoline. Then rewipe the gasoline residue off before proceeding.
Prepare the patch; wipe it clean and wipe it dry. Then spread the HH-66 over the patch and let it dry.
HH-66 is virtually bullet proof and last longer than any adhesive we have ever used. And it comes with that handy little brush in every can!
Spreading HH-66 over the patch, and allowing it to dry.

Slapping that patch to the material!
Now don't forget to take out your staples, reattach your skirt and you're off.....
  for more hovering
