The day we first met,
I knew you were something special,
The rain pouring down was so wet,
But the light in your eyes was burning bright.
You looked at me and smiled and then I knew,
That you were the one for me.
I have never been hit so hard with love,
And I was not sure what to do.
You took me by the hand,
And my heart took a turn,
I was hit like a rock by cupid's arrow,
And the fire in my soul began to burn.
Through the years we have stayed true,
And never once grew apart,
And when I'm feeling down and blue,
I just look into your eyes,
And I know the light will never depart.
