Lines which lie in the same place and have no points of intersection are called parallel lines.

Vertically opposite angles
Vertically opposite angles are angles that intersect, forming an X in the centre.

Corresponding Angles
Corresponding angles "sit" on two parallel lines, forming an F. Corresponding angles are equal.

Alternate Angles
Alternate angles are equal too, they form the letter Z .
