Wilson R. JONES was born October 20, 1820 in Monroe County Virginia. He married Frances J. BLANKENSHIP 30 January 1855 in Mercer County, Virginia. He died 6 February 1877.

Frances J. BLANKENSHIP was born 6 May 1837 in Mercer County, Virginia. She was the daughter of Arthur M. and Catherine BLANKENSHIP

i. Sarah C. JONES was born 1855. On 5 June 1880 she married James D. THOMAS born 1862, son of James H. THOMAS (b 1838) and Caroline THOMAS (b 1837)

ii. Mary E. JONES was born 1857 in Mercer County, Virginia. On 23 May 1883 she married James T. BOWER born 1850 in Floyd County, Virginia, son of David and Nancy BOWER.

iii. Rutha J. JONES was born April 1860 in Mercer County, Virginia. On 23 May 1883 she married James Estel BAILEY, born 6 April 1862 in Giles County, Virginia, son of James E. BAILEY and Sarah Jane BLANKENSHIP.

iv. Melvina JONES was born 1863.

v. Margret Ann JONES was born 1866 in Mercer County, West Virginia. On 17 April 1891 she married B. P. THOMAS born 1870 in Mercer County, West Virginia, son of J. W. and F. Jane THOMAS

vi. Ballard P. JONES was born 1868 in Mercer County, West Virginia. On 11 March 1890 he married Frances E. Bailey born 14 May 1874 in Giles County, Virginia, daughter of James E. BAILEY and Sarah Jane BLANKENSHIP.
