What if Willow and Hermione were long-lost twin sisters? Both were adopted when they were babies, Hermione staying in England and Willow being sent to America. Their birth parents were Sirius Black an Julie Snape (Severus Snape's sister) who met in their sixth year. Giles, who was in Slytherin with Julie, knew who Willow was immediately, but didn't say anything to her. Hermione's birth name was Lidia Narcissa Black and Willow's was Julia (Lia) Lilly Black. Why they were given up is up to you, as is all other plot points.
