Original X-Men Plot Twists

1) There is a hint-supported theory that Mystique and Destiny were lovers. I also know from (1990's) official information that Destiny was getting old, and was blind. What if she was worried that her lover didn't find her attractive anymore?

2) There was a recent debate over why Remy (Gambit) is so often portrayed as a victim. Someone write some Dark Remy stories. Something where he DOES have an ulterior motive for being with the X-Men, or where he IS using Rogue for whatever reason. Go into his head, explain why he's doing it (not as a 'justification' making his actions not so bad, but an explanation). Maybe even an explanation why he gathered the Marauders for Sinister.

3) almost everyone who's been following X-Men for any length of time knows that there was a comment made by Sinister that has been interpreted to mean there is a 3rd Summers brother. (the actual line was 'I did not want this disease to endanger you or your brothers.' or something to that effect. Spoken by Sinister, to Cyclops at the beginning of the whole Legacy virus thing.) Write a story with this third brother, making him someone other than Gambit or Adam-X and have him develop warm-fuzzy feelings for Rogue. (Author's choice how that turns out.)

4) For a while before Scott & Jean got married, Scott dated Betsy (Psylocke). What if they had stayed together instead of Betsy ending up with Warren and Scott with Jean?

5) What if Bishop had gotten together with Deathbird when part of the X-Men went off to Shi'ar space?

6) What if Rogue had chosen Joseph over Remy when they had that triangle-tension thing going?
